Nuru Art Studio is a celebration of nature’s beauty through photography and minimalistic doodles. The name Nuru (noo-roo) is a Swahili word which means “light” or “radiance.”

My name is Melissa, and I grew up in Nairobi and Cape Town. I am particularly inspired by African landscapes and the way sunlight brings them to life.

 

Nature has a way of bringing peace and wonder to those who take the time to appreciate it. I believe that art and nature should be accessible to everyone, I hope my artwork brings you the same peace and joy you may find at the beach, on the mountain or in the African bush.
